Can anyone help me with my Novo. It started tasting really burnt so i took apart the pod and saw that the cotton was brown and the coil was black with a hint of silver color on the edges of the coil. I took off the cotton and replaced it with new cotton and put some juice on it to soak in the cotton. I put it all back together and put more juice in there and gave it time to sit. but when I hit it, its still burnt, it just doesn't taste as bad. I know its the coil. is there any way i can clean that coil? The coil can't come out of the pod. It looks like black stuff is on the coil so maybe i was thinking of scrubbing the stuff off the coil? But i dont know what to use.
I always replace the coils as well as the cotton, £5 for 30ft….it,s one of the other things i enjoy about vaping, i do this every 7-10 days, also your guaranteed to get the best out of your build too.
I read the comments about temp shock and I can agree, it’s not good. I am gonna get some flack for using a pod system, but I have a G320 and a V8 Stick. I used this method without the water for the novo, and I have made a pod last 2 months! Saves lots of money. If you wish to repeat what I did, look up how to rewick a novo pod. I use cotton from a cotton swab and I thin it out just a touch. Then put it back together and it will work! I get a weird taste with the first refill, but I am positive it’s my cotton, probably has a little bleach left over. If you wanna clean the coil like he did, do the same thing as rewicking it, but when there isn’t a wick in it, just cut a USB cable apart and use a high output USB port, like a fast charger, I’d say use around a 10-13 watt source though, that way you don’t burn the pod out, and then you are done. Hope I saved you all some cash!
I used Pepsi or Cola for cleaning. My coils last for approx. 2months now, maintaining the same performance. ***After removing the wicks 1. burn the coils til it is completely dried 2. screw your coils out. (If not lazy, do a bit brushing after that) 3. pour the drinks in a glass and put the coils in it. (I normally used half of the drink) 4. cover the top with a plastic bag + a rubber band to prevent a carbonated-gas leakage 5. leave it like that for 30mins – 1hr. in room temp. (I usually leave it 1 – 2hrs) 5.1 or if u decide to place the container next to you, then swirl the glass for sometimes. 6. pour everything out & get tha coils (trust me, u dont want to drink that shit.) 7. wash the coils with normal water and dry them. 8. insert the coils, burn them & get them some brushing done. 8. Your coils are now ready to go.

i clean my coils with warm water and a toothbrush, I've been using the same set of Clapton coils for almost 3 months.

I find using a soft toothbrush is a great way to clear gunk off, running it under water and softly scrubbing really works for me
I just use a little bit of sand paper and sand it right off.. takes 2 minutes
