Good for you!! New Jersey's corrupt ass governor gave me no choice, say or even a peep of real rights of a tax paying 39 year old disabled vet. They have ultimately decided for me and i cant do a damn thing about it. Ive protested, wrote many many many emails and letters, ive signed many many poticians and documents for my right to vape and stay off cigs… but they dont give a shit, nor do they care and probably will not change it unless the rest of the states in america stand up and fight.
Overall, that does sound pretty fair and reasonable to me. Ex-smokers and smokers that could quit by switching to vaping should have access to these products and the choices of flavors and nic strengths. Specialty stores with strict ID policies that will help keep these products out of the hands of underage persons are the way to go. The problem that I see is the timing. If this had been put into effect prior to the COVID-19 outbreak and vape shops were deemed essential services, this would have been very helpful for small businesses. But, how many small local brick and mortar vape shops are still going to be in business come July 1st due to the COVID-19 outbreak? If many of them never open their doors back up, then we have another problem, persons without a local vape shop that aren't very computer savvy or simply don't have internet access may never quit smoking or even go back to cigarettes because online ordering would be too much of a hassle for them. This law didn't seem to say much about online vendors, but one would hope that it extends to those so businesses like DashVapes can keep supplying products to its customers.
I live in Pennsylvania and the New York Flavor Ban has me worried. But worse than that, is the PMTAs, which have absolutely nothing to do with safety, and everything to do with money. The ridiculous costs of just submitting PMTAs are simply a way to get money to replace dwindling money from the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement, kill off small businesses, and hand the vaping industry over to big tobacco companies so their increased profits would mean more TMSA money.
All of this greed and corruption and bad policy that does against all the scientific data is only going to result in more people dying from smoking and a dangerous unregulated black market for vape products.
This is exactly what we were trying to tell the lawmakers when our ban started… They didn't listen and took it way too far. Now I can't even get juice shipped here. Thanks Massachusetts.
What the us needs to do is not ban vape products but ban them from regular stores and have it where you have to go to a smoke or vape shop to get it and have strict penalties if they don't card. Canada seems to be moving in the right direction with that
this wont work in cali cause theres too many stores that are headshops that cant be classified as vape stores cause then they gotta change too much, but in cali nothing will change cause no one follows rules and its lowkey

At your local corner store you can get low/mid strength high pg e-liquids (menthol, mint, tabacco and sometimes a fruity flavor) but your choice is really limited. If you want a different flavor or a higher VG content you'd have to go to a registered vape shop to get it. Mods, pods and all other vaping equipment can only be bought in these shops too (some of them allow you to but them online).
I don't see why they don't just increase enforcement of the age restrictions of vape products, like shops loosing their trade license for selling to underage customers. Alcohol sales are very strict and you don't often see kids walking drunk.
