The original Sceptre makes this sound as well. I liked it so much that when the first one broke I bought a second one and both made the sound. But it didn't matter as long as it made me forget about RTAs & RDAs. It's just that good for MTL pod systems. I'll be happy to buy a Sceptre 2 if it's also compatible with the old coils.
I find the new Caliburn A2s does the same thing when fully charged. I have brought two devices to see if my one was faulty but both done it. Super annoying as the pods are excellent.
As for the milliamps of it, it could be misleading, oftentimes companies who make these internal batteries, label them at higher milliamps to get more money for less. I'm not saying this is the case here, but it does happen
Yay another pod. And emojis in the thumbnail too. Try leaving your mouth gaping open in the next thumbnail? I heard thats popular on YouTube. Oh wait your already halfway there in this thumbnail?
That's very odd. So many peeps saying that the original Sceptre buzzed like that…we live in the UK and have purchased three of the originals, none of them made that buzzing/humming noise!
99.9% chance the buzzing sound is just pwm which is the superior method of power delivery for a device like this. It could be the F0 design they've incorporated into other mods too. The sound is not ideal but I don't think it's a huge deal. Most pwm mods make the same noise.
WoW I heard that noise even when it wasn't close to mic? Speaking of batteries what ever happened to MOOCH?! I miss him! Hope he's well. It would be so cool if he could test all these pod system batts!! To see if "true" rating etc . Thanks for the review Mike!!
I for one have no problem with the hum. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is more efficient (longer battery life) the hum is not that loud. The airflow on my RTAs I'd louder. I liked the original but the improvements they made to this one make it well worth it. Better, smoother and wider range of air flow control. Easier coil change. And the auto draw was redesigned and less prone to autofire. But if the slight hum bothers you than this device is not for you. For the rest I highly recommend it.
Mike, you continue to bring us consistent material and never cut corners with quality of content. For this I thank you. Truly a diamond in the rough, and I mean you, not the Sceptre.

That sound crap?

Another good review Mike
The first Sceptre makes that sound which reminds me of PWM. Not sure if they would have implemented that in a pod though
That stupid innokin attachment at the bottom is a major deal breaker. Not a chance that I'll ever buy this.
Great review Mike!
If it’s not top fill that’s a deal breaker
I'm waiting for the suorin spce!
Why would they make a sceptre almost exactly the same as the previous?
Nothing against innokin but I’ve never been impressed with their coils…always found them sub standard
Sounds like a shaving device ?
Sounds like dial up internet ?

Sounds like it's using some of that Innokin 4th gen tech probably the F0 mode as sounds like the Sensis just louder
Thanks Mike

Personally I like the pwm sound but I'm a sparky so that maybe why haha

Looks nice Mike but I'm in to the big clouds

I got the same thing on the old one. Not vapable for me either.
The RPM 40 also had a louuuud coil whine.
