  1. THANK YOU MIKE for this review and pointing out and being honest with us all about the resistance issues as NO ONE ELSE HAS POINTED THIS OUT!!! This looks nice but if anyone is thinking of buying this then you might want a solid dna 100c mod if your a hobbies and building

  2. Thanks for the review Mike. Hey I saw that SMM had gotten dinged by YouTube for showing packaging of a device with a URL on the packaging. YouTube hit him for showing that URL on video. I just wanted to pass the word along, I know you all already get heat for showing vape devices and products already. It seems like they are tightening the reins on you all again. Thanks for all that you do for us fans and getting people off of cigarettes. Take care sir, and keep up the great work.

  3. Damn i might just actually get this geekvape product. This is their first and it seems pretty solid. Takes a single 21700, a 510 adapter, and a dna chip? Im sold

  4. Sorry lads , this device is a low quality copy of ursa by lost vape with dna 100c , at least they had to made it ip68 , like a better and smaller hyperion , its a lose

  5. In the GV store this costs $ 167.17 – for THIS? Thank you Geekvape, but NO thank you. In case I want a device with a DNA 100C I'll go for the LV Hyperion. It looks better (and by far not as cheap as the Z100C does), for sure it's more durable and it costs less…

  6. Thank you so much for that insight on the difference in resistance. I use temperature control mode on all my DNA's Devices so it's important for me that the resistance is accurate just so the temperatures I've set is accurate too. Keep up the good work Mike.

  7. If like other pod devices, liquid seeps out of the bottom of the coil into that chip things could get bad! I would personally just use it as a mod, but at that point the Lost Vape DNA100c seems better. Great review Mike.

  8. I think you're absolutely right about the difficulties in getting their hands on the DNA100C chips, whether it was due to production difficulties at Evolv, distribution problems, or some combination of both, and possibly other reasons. This is surely an interesting way to go, especially for Geekvape's first DNA attempt. Then again, they are kind of the kings of the pod mods. I'll be on the fence about this one for a while. Depending on where you order this, you're probably looking between $100-$150, which seems a bit excessive for a pod mod, at least to me. The 510 base being included was a no brainer, and the only reason that I would think about getting this. Though, I would have much rather seen an Aegis DNA. Having battery connections in a scenario where magnets secure the pod isn't ideal. A bit of tilt to the pod, a speck of dirt, or some juice on the coil, and your resistance can be off when you put the pod in place. When it comes to the 510 connector, I think its just a nature of the beast kind of thing. Because DNA chips are so accurate in reading resistance, its most likely picking up on the internal resistance of the 510 adapter itself and adding it to the resistance of the coil, so you're getting readings that are a few 100ths higher than you'd get if you if you put the same atty on a DNA mod with a secured and soldered 510 plate. In everyday wattage vaping, you probably wouldn't be able to tell much difference. It will read a little high, so it will apply a little more voltage to reach the set wattage. At the same time, the 510 adapter which is causing the higher readings will also probably be the cause of some voltage drop, evening things out, so you'll never feel the difference. When it comes to temp control, I don't think a 510 adapter that is going to change the resistance reading is optimal. Now, if Geekvape releases some Stainless Steel or Nickel P-Series coils, then that's a game changer for a DNA pod mod. That would open up a whole new market of people that love the DNA chip for using temp control.

  9. Now that’s something I’ll definitely be interested in buying. A 100c dna chipset in a pod & with the 510 adapter. I’m gonna be keeping an eye out for this. Great review as always Mike

  10. Haha great opportunity to plug your eclipse rta @mike vapes!!!! I ain't mad at ya brotha. 11. I think they tried to do too much imo. First dna pod mod? Leave it at that, didnt need a 510 platform etc. Every mod doesnt need to do it all!
