I have two PD270,s (rainbow & black) and one PD1865 (blue snakeskin) bought on release and they all still look and work excellently today. Great chip, ultra reliable just great work horse mods for everyday use. It’s just a shame they didn’t centre that 510 with the release of the resin version as this is the only gripe with the original.
I got the original Captain PD270 when it came out…my friend bought one a week later…both mods stopped working a couple months ago..my friend barely used his…I used mine heavily, 5107 puffs on it. It turns on but doesn't read anything I put on it…probably broke a solder point inside..I need another 20700 mod..I got 8 20700 batteries…lol..thanks for the review Mike…not sure what I should buy next for my 20700 daily driver mod…
I have had the OG captain since it came out still going strong. I love it. If this one would have been 21700 I would have been all over it. Thanks Mike.

Looks nice with the resin panels and the Up/Down buttons are nice to. Got mine PD270 for almost a year now and still works like the first day!!! Only the paint is wearing off Yes it´s a bit anoying the .1 increments but the mod works fabulous … 21700 would be nice.
Ordered two of the original versions when they first came out. One works great to this day, the other keeps indicating that the batteries are discharging unevenly. Overall still happy with the one that is working.

my i joy captain x3 started throwing random voltages and temperatures after just 3 months of use. Ijoy was less than helpful in my return even after I provided screenshots. I wouldnt recommend.
I love my captain, bought it way back at release..Been trOuble Free! Gave me faith in Ijoy mods so I bought me and the wife a genie..those been great so I bought an avenger for a present. The extra life in the bigger batteries is great. I agree that the resin should have moved up to 21700. I don’t need more tanks to buy coils for so I’ll stick to my mesh pro,revvos,prince,and big baby beast… A captain resin squonk would have been sweet too like the way they done the fuchai 213 into a 21700 single battery squonker. I own both of them too.
Same as the pd270 and I have 2. The pd270 had carbon fiber look stickers….that has resin looking stickers. They could have just sold me new resin look stickers and let me change them myself. It is a good mod except the battery doors come open too easy…only the battery connection springs keep it closed. With a little age the springs weaken, and a nice tap results in the batteries falling in the floor. Other than that it was OK, but not anything I really am crazy about. I really do think they basically just changed some stickers and buttons. I bet those resin stickers will fit my pd270 mod. I bet I could just remove the carbon fiber stickers from mine and put those resin looking stickers on it. For the same money I could get 2 Lock Ness mods…and that mod just fits my hand like it was designed just for me. I really like the Lock Ness mod. If the Lock Ness had a switch like the Uwell Iron fist it would almost be the perfect dual 18650 mod. I can't believe the iron fist is the only regulated mod with a physical switch…no 5 clicks or is it 3 and menu or 5 plus hold down the fire button, where is the manual for this? Aw forget it, I'll just take the batteries out. Switch on..switch off, worked for Edison, would work for me too. I hope I never have to do 5 clicks and a menu to turn my lights off. Switches are great. Dont even need a lock screen, just switch it off.
Mike i loved my captain mod the same gunmetal you have. I bought the captain with the 2 ijoy 20700 batteries. The Sanyo 20700s i loved and they were the 4000 mah but vaping at 50-60 watts lasted forever. Then my sanyos were rattling and the ijoy batteries were a tiny bit bigger and they hit hard. They came with a 5 leg 20700 but sadly my captain doesn't work. So the diamond came out and it almost felt like the initial firing of the mod was powerful . It felt like 10 watts more than what a normal mod felt like and my captain is dead my Diamond 20700 version still works fine. The Ijoy batteries that came with the Diamond were 4 leg and i didn't think anything of it but i did see a review from mooch and they were a cheaper cell they were 3000 mah with a 40 am but we all know it was exaggerated but the 5 leg they were close to 30 amp but the 4 leg was like a LG brown 3000 mah 20 amp. I think the 20 amp 4 legs were fine but it's 234 watts and i don't think it could fire above 140 with the new ijoy batteries but the new 20700 molicel batteries are hard hitting . Ijoy make single 21700 mods and they made that beast triple 20700 but 20700s vs 21700s. I don't see why i would buy a dual 20700 unless it's a kit for 49.99 like i got with the diamond and batteries. The diamond tank and 2 – 20700 batteries would cost 50 bucks so the mod was free and for that price i would get it. I still have the ijoy lux dual 26650 and it's huge but runs forevr.

They should have centered the 510 & made it 21700 compatible. Still considering it nonetheless.

Honestly, was pretty stupid of them to put this out. No denying that the device is a good device but no 21700? nah pass.
