i ordered a red and black one my only question is can you charge it with just the USB cable? or do you need a battery charger? i hope not because i dont have one 🙁
I purchased the ijoy first, then learned about the SkyHook. I too, was a big fan of the Alien. I have to thank you because I had the ijoy sitting on my desk with the Smok in my hand, and didn't realize that the shorter top cap on the ijoy was compatible with the SkyHook. Thanks again brother, you do great work.
one question if anyone can help: How does one check the ohm on a new build on this top? when the top is removed, a long post is revealed with no place to connect it to the ohm reader. any help?

I picked up the Smok Skyhook RTDA mod. At first, I loved the thing. Then about a week after owning it. The board started showing all kinds of faults and warnings. It began to randomly change the wattage, ohm and auto-fire. It even would shut itself off. So, I went to the Smoktech web site and looked up warranty information. I followed the process and mailed the kit to Mad Vapes in North Carolina NC, USA. This was on March 27 2017. Mad Vape received my mod and approved a full replacement. were now going into the 4th month. And according to Mad Vapes, Smok is not sending ANY replacement mods for warranty at this time. And according to the Rep I spoke with. They, Mad Vapes, is sitting on HUNDREDS of Skyhook, Marshal, GS350, AL85 and Allien mods that have the same problem. Four months, is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for a warranty replacement for a mod I paid $85 for and only got about a week out of. And the last time I call Mad Vapes, on the first week of June 2017. The Rep said, the earliest date for Possible Replacements, is in LATE AUGUST 2017. That's about a HALF YEAR wait, assuming they send Skyhook replacements, in the August delivery. I won't buy another Smok mod….

YouTube is filled with videos of all kinds of people having problems with the alien and the skyhook this is my first and last time I'll ever buy a smok product what a piece of crap, and this was my stay at home mod, i used a smaller mod when i went anywhere. Buyer beware, check those problem videos before buying make sure you type problems after the make and model in the search.
