  1. I recently bought the pilgrim and I quickly realized there is a major design flaw. I was having massive troubles getting it to wick at all. Even with a full tank, the cotton would never wick and it was constant dry hits. I tried thinning out the cotton and that helped a little but still mostly dry hits.

The problem is the top cap. Because it's completely sealed, any wicking creates an equal and opposite vacuum draw from the top of the tank. I proved this theory by unscrewing the top cap a couple twists and watched as the wicks immediately went from dry to soaked up. Closed the top cap, took a few pulls, and same – dry. opened it up and it immediately wicked again.

I ended up drilling two 1/16" holes on each side in the flat part of the top cap right over the fill ports. That way as the wicks soak up, air from the outside replaces the volume being drawn from the top. This is similar to how coffee cup tops have a tiny hole for air, so that way you get a smooth flow of liquid. This 100% solved the issue and now I easily consider it my best device. Flavor is phenomenal and the adjustments are super convenient for getting everything just right. Build quality is awesome too. After solving the vacuum issue, the only problem I have with this device is the build deck is so small that it gets super hot after a couple pulls. Makes chain vaping unpleasent.

I’m new in vaping and bought this Pilgrim and not getting good flavour!
I’m using Revenger X as mod.
What coils may be best for me?
