What's funny is that people will find a way to vape anyways. the ingredients used to make juice are all perfectly legal on their own. People used to used modified high-powered flashlights to vape. All these idiots are doing is cutting jobs and losing tax revenue.

Do what you have to do to keep on vaping! I diy, make my own coils and have about 13 mods with more to come. Our numbers are growing and even the bad publicity from idiots will only increase these numbers. The FDA regs will fail or create a lucrative blackmarket. There are ways around the regs ie relabel, rename, change what the e juice is intended for etc. we will win as our numbers grow. Today over 2000 people will die as a result of tobacco but not one person will even end up in a hospital from vaping.
Furthermore, I don't give a shit about ' protecting the children' and neither do they! I could care less whether the kids become smokers, alcoholics, drugs addicts or prostitutes. That's their parents responsibility, not mine. I detest that stupid ridiculous statement.
another thing is i can agree that making vaping less attractive to minors is essential. but maybe if we made labels and names less attractive while keeping the flavors is a good idea but then you can argue that if that is the case then shouldn't we make mods and tanks less attractive and bland too? i don't have the answers to these questions but as someone who has been a liscensed seller for tobacco and alcohol, i know that at the point of sale it is very important to id everyone unless they are obviously old. the problem is that there are alot of people who do not id at all and say, well you look old enough to me.
true story, i worked at a cefco right and this female would always come in at night during my shift and she looked like she was 35 to 40 years old so i myself never bothered to id her. it was new years eve and i was working the over night shift and my manager told me to id everyone because the security corperate teams were viewing all the cameras at every location. i said, no prob boss lady. so this chick came in as always and i told her that i had to id her because of these reasons i just mentioned. she shown me her id and she was 16 so i took the alcohol and put it behind the counter and refused the sale. she begged me to sale the alcohol and tobacco to her and i said, im very sorry but im not selling these to you no more. she threatened to report me for selling to her so many times before. i said, yeah you could do that but in my defense i didn't know your age because you do look old enough but luckly i did id you to prevent further sale of these items to a minor. fyi these cameras in convenient stores have audio too. i never did get into trouble but the security team from corporate sent my manager an email giving me a warning to id everybody who comes in for alcohol and tobacco as well as associated products.
I dont mind vaping being deemed a tobacco product because if the government can tax e liquid like they do cigarettes they remove one of the major incentives to ban it altogether. One of the reasons the fda/government cares os because they are losing out on millions if not billions over time in sin tax. The excessive taxes on tobacco products makes up a huge portion of sales tax revenue and the less people buy cigarettes, the less money they are collecting. Now we just need to educate the FDA on all the bullshit health risks they are claiming and the so called "epidemic" of youth vaping. If its such a rampant epidemic then why is the CDC saying teen vaping is way down?! Because they dont give a shit about kids, or our health. Its big tobacco lobbying to ban vaping because its so affective that their stock prices are dipping! Its the first smoking alternative that jas been so successful that it actually threatens the tobacco companies. The FDA needs to stop making false allegations of "popcorn lung" from diacetyl (which is no longer used in vape juice) and that it contains antifreeze because of the propylene glycol (which is also in sodas, cakes, syrups etc.). Water is also in antifreeze, does that make it dangerous?
