I'm 56, have skateboarded since I was a kid, own an eboard now, still ride. I would not suggest someone who has never ridden to start with an eboard, they're really fast and brakes can really mess you up. Wear a helmet NO MATTER WHAT, andcwith an eboard it's highly recommended that you invest in some good solid wrist, elbow and knee pads. You did very well!! Eboards are more for going straight for long distances, not so good for turning on a dime. They are seriously fun but you can really injure yourself badly if you're not careful – I took a spill last week, i was fully padded up and at only around 15mph I still hit that pavement hard, damn near cracked some ribs and earned some nifty patches of road rash! ??
