Ahhh…thanks for doing the ribbon revision in a POV format. Makes sense now. I like how you use the ribbon instead of wire for some builds. Great job, cant wait to see more.
Nice braid. Once it's done clamping one end of the finished braid in the vice , holding the other end with pliers and torching it will tighten it up and take out some of the springiness and reduce hot spots. Chef's kitchen torch is perfect and pretty cheap.
Brilliant video got the hang of the hand movements and everything but my wire keeps breaking before i get an inch down and have to keep reseting im using the same wire and being gentle with it anyone help?

OMG THANK YOU!!! i watched over a dozen different videos, i even had a friend try showing me in person and i still couldnt get it down. After watching this video i got some nylon string to practice with, 5 minutes later i got the wire out to see how i would do and it wasnt picture perfect but after 5 more minutes of working on the wire i got it down to an art. Thank you so much Zophie 😀
Like everyone says: good tutorial, im used to making fused claptons and thought i'd give this a try today. Made it perfectly. Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial. One word of advice……being a macho man with tough hands i thought 'pfffttt…..wearing gloves? I am a MAN, not a little girl!' Needless to say i created a big hole in my finger so i'd advise wearing gloves lol.
This is by far the best tutorial for a braided coil. Especially if your a guy and have never braided anything in your entire life. The ribbons at the start of the vid give a clear indication on how the process works. Thanks Zophie ❤️
