It's great to have something other than a pod, but this is just a big fail imo. Exposed battery ? Polycarbonate tank ? no way to suck liquid back down ?but the biggest drawback: pretty much can only use 1 liquid. I hate when flavors bleed into one another and there's no way to get the liquid inside the pump mechanism out. Great review but not a good product..
Thanks for the review. Something other than a pod system is exciting but this mod has a few major issues. I would Love a Topside Lite 2 ASAP. Loved the Topside Lite. A updated, more sturdy version would be a banger.
I completely agree with the "CON" of the exposed battery! And I don't really like the SQUONK Pump either. But at least they made it a single 21700 battery. I would rather have a Dual Battery in my stuff for an all-day thing. Yeah, a 21700 battery will last a decent time, but it is not an "All Day" unit in my book. To me it would be a good "Use it at home" set up.
Considering dovpo is still selling the original Topside i would buy that instead of this squonker there's just to much to fail with this plus the whole exposed battery thing which is a massive con
Oh man this would have been a perfect device to have a nice glass bottle for a sqounk bottle as glass is sooo much better than glorified rubber lol I've always wished there was a sqounker with a glass bottle and since this is a pump system it would work . But all in all very nice ? thanks Mike
Wow so there is no pump back system ? Oof . See years ago , I won a ipv v3 mini auto sqounker(the one with the tiny rda )and it sqounked/pumped in and back out with just buttons lol which was great n i loved it [ til the pump eventually cracked the press fit frame and would weep liquid thru the cracks of the two sides] . And this was years ago so I'm surprised there is no suck back feature like the ipv v3 had ?
Btw I seen a site had got some stock of ur Recurve sqounker from way back and I'm gonna be grabbing it as I always wanted one . The ergonomics are awesome and the looks . It's a mosfet based sqounker too which I'd choose the recurve over this . Hope you do a v2 maybe make it a full mech sqounker with the ergonomics ID be in heaven mike
I have never seen any electronic device having it's battery exposed. Especialy one that will be carried in pockets and bags with keys and other metalic objects. This is dangerous.
This is a terrible product IMO. I guarantee you that pump draws more battery than a dual coil setup because it has to run a motor which physically pumps out the liquid. You might as well just use a 18650 and pump it with your hand like every other squonk device.
