I think you're probably correct in ur theory that the mod had been dropped cuz I had an iStick 50W that I dropped and the screen did the exact same thing. It was all dim and u could barely see it, then eventually it just went completely dark.
Hey zophie great vid as usual. So im using the vaporesso target kit and when i take the atomizer off it will read 9.99 ohms but if you fire it it will say check atomizer. Thats pretty normal from what i have seen. Also i notice when i fill the tank the ohms will be higher for the first few pulls and then it will drop to normal for the rest of the tank. All the other issues though seem to be worse on that mod. I wouldnt use it after the vid. Looking foward to the next review
Lol I had a whole diatribe I was going to post on my thoughts about this product after watching the review, but I think I'll safe that for now. It seems inferior to some of the other mini-mods on the market right now that I've seen…I will say that though. They could've at LEAST made the tank a top-filler…c'mon now, it's 2016. : lol But I like the design of the chassis; it looks like it'd be nice and comfortable in the hand.
Is the screen as it dim as it appears to be? That ought to be a con right?

the 9.99ohms with no atomizer may be normal. My wife's old Kanger battery did the same thing.

It's not a 18650 so you should be good I would keep using it and wouldn't be worried about it
